Ever since Tesla CEO, Elon Musk unveiled the latest product of Tesla, the Cybertruck, it has been a meme all over the internet for its planar design. Some people find it ugly and some people appreciated the futuristic look. But still, we can’t deny the fact that at first glance all of us were like “what the hell am i looking at?” I mean it’s Tesla, how could they possibly design something like that? Tesla put their best in their products, compromise is not an option at Tesla. So what could possibly be the reason for this large shaped triangle Cybertruck?
Well we now know exactly why Cybertruck is designed so, for passenger protection and ultimate durability, material which is used in Cybertruck body is ultrahard, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel. This material is so hard even bending it requires a deep score on inside bend. You just can’t easily stamp ultra-hard 30X steel whic explains the Cybertruck so planar design.
At first Tesla was going to use Titanium skin for Cybertruck but, as the cold-rolled 30X stainless steel is much stronger and cost less money Tesla decided to go with cold-rolled 30X stainless steel. This cold-rolled 30X stainless steel is a new variant of 300 series stainless steel and this same material is used in Starship.
This is the reason why the price of Cybertruck is so surprising with all that amazing specs but, the thing is despite its so planar look people are still buying it. Elon Musk through his tweet said there have been 146,000 pre-orders in just two days ever since the Cybertruck is unveiled and currently it’s 200,000 pre-orders and still counting.
