According to Variety , Disney Plus is looking to make a live-action series Goosebumps based on the RL Stine children’s horror book series. This series, which was reported in April 2016, was under construction, and ten episodes have been ordered.

The new series is reportedly about a group of high school students who accidentally release several dangerous supernatural forces. And they must learn to work together to stop them and save their family, friends and city.

This new series will actually be the second live-action series Goosebumps. The first series was an anthology series, each inspired by a different book from the series. The series aired on Fox Kids Network in the United States from 1996 to 1998, as well as two film adaptations of the book series, Goosebumps in 2015 and Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween in 2018.

The new Disney Plus series is set to be written by Nick Stoller (The Muppets) and Rob Letterman (Detective Pikachu), and will also co-produce the series. It is said that Letterman, the director of the 2015 movie version, will also direct the first part of the series. This collection is also by Neil H. Moritz and Pawn Shetty from Original Film Studios, Connor Welch from Stoller Global Solutions Studios. And Evil Luchs and Caitlin Friedman from Scholastic Entertainment will be executive producers.

The first Goosebumps book was published by Scholastic Publishing in 1992, and books from this collection are published almost every year until 2021. And some books are already planned for 2022. The collection has sold more than 400 million copies worldwide. Since 1992 and has been translated into more than 30 languages.

The Goosebumps series is the second best-selling book in history, second only to Harry Potter. Thanks to the Goosebumps main collection and a number of sub-collections such as Tales to Give You Goosebumps.
