Kevin Faigy Talks About The Violence In Moon Knight Series
Marvel boss Kevin Feigy has revealed more about Moon Knight starring Oscar Isaac in a new interview with Empire magazine including that he is “very violent” and the Disney Plus series team in a story he tries to define. They are “not coming short”.
In an interview with Empire magazine, where a new image of Moon Knight in another costume was shared, Faigi said the new series allowed them to test the boundaries of Marvel’s cinematic world so far.
He is very violent. It was a lot of fun working with Disney Plus and seeing the boundaries of what we can and cannot do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight shouts at another character and has a loud and brutal voice. The initial reaction is, “We’re going to cut this short, right?” No. We do not fall short. There is a change of tone in this series. One thing is different. This is Moon Knight.
Isaac talked about how his character not only relates to a famous Egyptian god named Khonshu, but the series will also address Moon Knight’s mental health.
It is risky and dangerous. He is an unknown and obscure hero, and the things we deal with are very different. But since this is a series and not a movie, there is no pressure to make sure it has a great opening weekend. We can take more risks to deliver this large-scale experimental qualitative work.
A month ago, the first official trailer of the new Marvel Moon Knight TV series was released. And the release date of its first episode on the Disney Plus network was announced to be 30 March 2022.
