SpaceX Dragon capsule successfully docked with ISS

Dawn of a new era in human Space Flight has begun.

Dawn of the new era in human spaceflight has begun and this is just the beginning. For the first time in the history of space exploration a commercially builtand an operated spacecraft has successfully docked with the International Space Station. On March-3-2019, NASA and SpaceX successfully launched Crew Dragon to ISS. After making 18 orbits of Earth since its launch SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecfrat has successfully attached to ISS.

As Elon Musk said in press conference after launch

It wasn’t an easy job to do, not at all, a lot of hard work and sacrifice has been done to get to this point. It has been 17 years to get to this point, 2002 to now, and an incredible amount of hard work and sacrifice from a lot of people that got us to this point…I’d also like to Express great appreciation for NASA, SpaceX would not be here without NASA, without the incredible work that was done before SpaceX even started and without the support after SpaceX did start.

NASA and SpaceX have been working together for years, together they have done lot of incredible work for human well being and this mission is one of those incredible work, this mission is not as other mission, this is the first space mission which took human to ISS this is something that hasn’t been done before.

SpaceX Dragon capsule is the first one which dock with ISS previously we would just go close to space station and then the arm would reach out and grab in, but in this case spacecraft literally flew on to the space station and attach itself.

Crew Dragon is designed to stay docked to station for up to 210 days, although Crew Dragon used for this Flight test will remain docked to the space station for five days only, departing Friday March 8, after undocking from the station Crew Dragon will begin its descent to Earth.

Demo-1 is an important uncrewed mission designed to test the end to end capabilities of the new system. this mission will bring us one step closer to the return of human launches to space station.

For Demo-2 NASA and Spacex will use data from Demo-1 along with planned upgrades to further prepare for Demo-2, it will be crewed flight testing that will carry NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the International Space Station. Demo-2 will be 2 week test mission.
